A few visitors mention waiting times, particularly during peak hours when the establishment fills up with hungry patrons. Some feel that the popularity can lead to a somewhat chaotic environment, though many argue this is a testament to the food's quality. While the experience is mostly positive, those seeking a quiet dining atmosphere may find it less appealing during busy times. Additionally, a couple of customers were disappointed that certain items, like the beloved deep-fried Mars bars, were unavailable during their visit. There's also the reality that it can get quite crowded, especially in summer when tourists flock to the area.
Had some fantastic haddock, chips and peas from the two ladies that run Elliott’s last night. Huge portions we couldn’t finish of delicious freshly fried fish and chips. Would highly recommend. Didn’t try the very popular deep fried mars bars though.
Called in here for tea as we were camping a couple of miles away. 20 quid to feed 4 of us so definitely cheaper than our chippy in Stoke-on-Trent. Nicest chippy chips I've ever had!
Excellent chips. Great fish. And they'd taken the time to preserve a unique sculpture of a piece of batter the shape of a dinosaur, great to see this respect for history and fun for all the family. Would recommend visiting before the dinosaur disintegrates.
Tasty fish and chips, freshly cooked by friendly staff and a bench opposite in a delightful village to enjoy them with the pleasure of the company of Charlie the village cat. Portions were plentiful and the price more than reasonable.
We had a very large order for 15 people. The staff were very friendly and cooked it all very quickly. The food was delicious. All round brilliant.
The food was delicious and we enjoyed the opportunity of chatting with the owner, who is truly local😁
Highly Recommend - A traditional Fish n Chip shop that also frys Mars bars (on additional posted signs). Lovely ladies serving their customers. We rocked up with an order of 8 fish n chips and they were made fresh, fast and it was reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back.
